14 bad habits that are ruining your skin in a brutal way and maybe you didn’t know it

Our face says a lot about who we are, so it is very important to keep it healthy, in addition to protecting our vision, having good oral hygiene and taking care of our skin.

This last task is perhaps the most demanding, but the truth is that it is worth the effort: having a neglected skin can add several more years. To prevent this from happening, leave behind some habits that could be deteriorating it.

1. Not everything natural is good

Just because it’s an organic or 100 percent natural product doesn’t mean it’s better for the skin. Many products of this nature are mixed with coconut oil to moisturize. But there are parts of the body, such as the face, where they can make acne worse and clog pores.

2. Self-medicate by seeing skin breakouts

Some girls decide to self-medicate when they see a rash or pimples on their skin. The most common creams contain hydrocortisone, antibiotics, honey and vitamin E, which in some cases aggravate the situation.

3. Use baby products

Only because of the belief that they are better for sensitive skin. However, some contain fragrances that can cause irritation and allergic reactions.

4. Be a fan of hypoallergenic products

Just because a product says on its label that it is “hypoallergenic” does not mean that it actually is. In fact, a few years ago 135 child products were tested that were “hypoallergenic” and 90 percent contained at least one ingredient that could cause allergies.

5. Sunbathing

In an effort to produce more vitamin D. Although sun exposure helps to do this, it can also cause skin cancer due to ultraviolet rays.

6. Wash your face excessively

Many times they have the false belief that acne is related to hygiene problems and they try to wash it off until it is removed. Ideally, wash your face only twice a day; otherwise it could cause overproduction of natural oils and skin irritation.

7. Squeeze your mud

Doing so can leave scars and cause infections. If you have a bar that you can’t even see, see a dermatologist to minimize damage to your skin and inflammation.

8. Change your pillow case!

A case that hasn’t been changed in a long time can accumulate all kinds of debris that has touched your skin, from makeup to dust, not to mention mites.

Continuous exfoliation of the skin is not good, it should only be done at most twice a week and following the instructions of the product used.

It can be relaxing but it is not good for the skin; high temperatures dilute natural oils. But if you can’t stop doing it just make sure to hydrate it extremely well.

11. Use makeup remover wipes

They can be useful and easy to use, but in some cases they cause allergies and acne breakouts due to their content.

12. Sleep with makeup

Sleeping with makeup covers your pores. Also, if you don’t remove it and don’t wash your face at the end of the day, you’re leaving your skin covered in sweat, oil and dust.

13. Using too many products

Using too many products at the same time prevents your skin from seeing the effects of each one.

14. Abusing sunscreen

Dermatologists recommend that you do not expose yourself to the sun between 10 am and 2 pm, and wear an umbrella and glasses. If you need to be in the sun for hours, sunscreen could saturate the pores of your skin with oils.
