Wuhan University & China United Insurance Group Partner to Build Talent Incubation Hub

On March 27, Wuhan University and China United Insurance Group Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for their cooperation agreement and an unveiling ceremony for the Talent Cultivation Demonstration Base. Dong Zhong, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of China United Insurance Group; Jiang Xinwei, President of China United Property Insurance Company; and Li Ziyuan, Vice President of Wuhan University, attended the event. The ceremony was hosted by the head of Wuhan University’s School of Economics and Management.

Li Ziyuan, on behalf of the university, extended a warm welcome to Dong Zhong and his delegation. He introduced the general profile of Wuhan University and emphasized that this collaboration would leverage the synergies between the university’s disciplinary strengths and China United Insurance’s industry expertise. The two parties will jointly establish a Talent Cultivation Demonstration Base, exchange expert appointments, promote industry-academia-research integration, and explore new models for combining theory and practice in the insurance sector. He highlighted that Wuhan University alumni are a steadfast, loyal, and reliable force supporting the university’s high-quality development. Several alumni within China United Insurance’s executive team have played pivotal bridging roles in university-enterprise cooperation. He expressed hope that the partnership would combine strengths to demonstrate greater responsibility in serving national strategies and advancing socio-economic development.

Dong Zhong spoke highly of Wuhan University’s educational achievements and societal impact. He introduced the general profile of China United Insurance Group and noted that China’s insurance industry is entering a new phase of high-quality development, necessitating stronger talent foundations and enhanced innovation capabilities. Wuhan University’s profound academic heritage and innovative ethos will provide critical support for the group in addressing industry challenges and developing new products. This collaboration marks a key initiative for the group to deepen industry-education integration and strengthen its talent strategy. Through joint efforts such as establishing the demonstration base, mutual expert appointments, and collaborative research, the partnership aims to tackle challenges in product innovation and service quality improvement.

At the event, Li Ziyuan and Dong Zhong signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. Jiang Xinwei, a 1985 alumnus of Wuhan University’s Department of Insurance at the School of Economics and Management, accepted the plaque for the "Talent Cultivation Demonstration Base" on behalf of China United Insurance Group.

Representatives from China United Insurance Group’s Strategic Planning Department, the Human Resources Department of China United Property Insurance Company, its Zhejiang and Hubei branches, as well as Wuhan University’s Domestic Cooperation Office, Student Career Guidance and Service Center, School of Economics and Management, and other relevant units attended the event, along with faculty and student representatives from the School of Economics and Management.
